With 11 years experience in the industry, a massive club following and a chart-topping single, Zinhle seems to have been destined for a career as a DJ.
GLAMOUR: What drives you to succeed?
I love success stories and I want to be one of those amazing and inspirational success stories. I also feel like there are a lot of opportunities for young women in this country and I am excited about what the future holds for us and the things we can achieve. I want to grow my business, employ more people and eventually build an empire.
What makes you feel like a strong, GLAMOURous woman in your day-to-day life?
I work hard and between work, family and all the other things that require my time it is very easy to neglect myself. Every morning before everyone wakes up in the house, I spend a few minutes alone and I also enjoy quiet time while I am doing my makeup. Looking good and waking up with a purpose makes me feel strong.
Who is your woman of the year? Why?
Single mothers. I recently became a mom and I don’t know how they do it on their own – raising a child is hard work and support is very important. I have a lot of it but it is still hard work for me and that’s why I admire them.
What’s the best career advice that you’ve ever received?
DJ Oskido told me that the best way to measure success is by the number of people you have helped along the way.
What was the defining moment in your career?
There have been so many, but Fuse Academy always stands out for me.
