South Africa Fashion Week kicked off this week with a stellar line-up. And we loved the fashion and designer buzz! But there was one guest in particular who caught our eye above all the rest.
Sitting front row at Gert-Johan Coetzee and impeccably dressed in one of the designer’s emerald green creations was Advocate Thuli Madonsela. This marks the second time the Public Protector has made a stylish splash in a GJC ensemble – at the opening of parliament earlier this year, she wowed the crowds in a gorgeous yellow gown that became known as the Victory Dress.
Of course, along with millions of other South Africans, we at GLAMOUR are in awe of the Public Protector’s courage, intellect and integrity, and for proof positive, read the interview she gave us when she became a GLAMOUR Women of the Year award winner in 2014 – one of our most popular winners ever. Then, as now, a designer piece was a marvellous thing to wear, but there are no accessories better than a magnificent heart, soul and spirit!
