Celebs came out in numbers to The 7th Annual Chevrolet Feather Awards to celebrate South African personalities, who have inspired the LGBT community over the past year.
At the award ceremony, which celebrates all those who support, inspire and empower the LGBT community, we spotted our fave actress Nomzamo Mbatha who’s just returned from slaying the red carpet at The Hunger Games World Premiere in Germany. The starlet walked away with ‘The Best Styled Female’ award. This category is for ladies that consistently kept to their style throughout the year, and Nomzamo definitely deserves it! The purple Ryan Keys dress that she wore to the ceremony looked impeccable, and reinforced how deserving she is of this award.

Nomzamo was spotted posing it up on the red carpet with fellow actress Thando Thabethe, who’s also making major waves in the industry at the moment. Thando, who is soon going to be meeting Kendall and Kylie Jenner, was a presenter at the awards ceremony and she opted for a white floor length halter neck dress. She looked stunning with her summer-ready ‘do – we’re so into bobs this season! Thando selfie’d the night away with her date, actress and presenter Khanya Mkangisa, who looked gorgeous in a gold mini dress.
Also spotted in white was presenter Luthando Shosha (aka LootLove), who played hostess for the evening. Like ourselves, Lootlove is clearly loving all-white ensembles these days. At the recent HxM Balmain launch, the star was photographed in a gorgeous white floor length gown. Lootlove hosted the event alongside comedian Tall Ass Mo and, of course, the chemistry between the two of them set the tone for the evening, and kept the crowd in stitches! Some of the performers for the evening included pioneering kwaito music singing group Boom Shaka, and the multi-platinum soulful Simphiwe Dana.

Lootlove is currently rocking short blonde hair with the Madiba pathing trend, and she isn’t the only one. TV personality, K Naomi Noinyane, has also gone for the pathing trend in her short platinum locks. K Naomi wore a gorgeous Inga Madyibi ensemble and we’re obsessed with the colours on the dress. Naomi shared this statement with her Instagram: “This is totally out of my comfort zone, people that know me know I’m really not that into colourful outfits! But I felt great & comfortable, what’s fashion if you aren’t willing to take risks?” We couldn’t agree more. The higher the risk the higher the reward, definitely one of the best dressed of the night.
Catsuits, jumpsuits, rompers – whatever you choose to call them – were a major trend seen at the awards. Actress and Vuzu presenter, Denise Zimba, looked fierce in her Harry Lekwane biker inspired jumpsuit. The fit of the suit complemented by her fiery red hair was just perfect. Queen of bling and TV personality, Khanyi Mbau, was looking like a sexy tiger in her catsuit that showed off her amazing figure, she’s definitely a bonafide milf! TV and Radio personality, Pearl Modiadie, wore a strapless striped jumpsuit looking seriously cute, and even though she lost the ‘Hot Chick of the Year’ award to Jessica Nkosi, she still slayed on the red carpet.

We saved the best for last: blogger and ‘It’ girl, Melody Molale, looked exquisite in a red spaghetti strapped dress. Melody rocked a pair of gold Giuseppe Zanotti heels, which she owns in two colours! Clearly she’s as obsessed with them as we are. Jealous yet? She looked like the epitome of class, the slit of the dress and matching red lip brought just the right amount of drama to her look. Less is always more, her look was simplistic perfection!
