Caster Semenya is one of South Africa’s national treasures when it comes to sport and fighting for your rights. So earlier this year, when the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) introduced a new rule that would force her to take medication to lower her testosterone levels the country backed the gold medalist saying this was unfair and discriminatory against her. But she is not giving up so easily.

She has teamed up with the best of the best when it comes to lawyers, Gregory Nottis. They are building up a case against the IAAF for their “discriminatory” rule.
They put out a joint statement yesterday confirming this: “This is a landmark case concerning international human rights and discrimination against women athletes with major consequences for gender rights which are jealously protected by the South African Bill of Rights…Ms Semenya will today file the legal challenge to ensure, safeguard and protect the rights of all women.”
Since then she has been posting some pretty motivational tweets on her timeline.
