We’ve got goosebumps.
Meghan Markle is currently in London (we know this because we’ve seen her Christmas shopping on the King’s Road), and now we’re hearing rumours that an engagement announcement is imminent.
SQUEAL.
Yes, people, rush off and buy a hat because apparently Prince Harry, 33, has popped the question to Meghan, 36, and the Palace are preparing an announcement as we speak. We might have made that last bit up, but we ARE hearing that bookies have suspended their bets on the wedding which means only one thing: INSIDER INTEL.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told The Mirror: “All bets are off and it looks like it’s time for Her Majesty to go hat shopping.
“The playboy prince has finally settled down and found the one, and royal watchers will be thrilled at their engagement announcement,” she added.
We could do with some new pics of Harry and Meghan to swoon over. The pair definitely keep a low profile, and we’re yet to see them all dressed up on a red carpet – she even swerved the fanfare of Pippa Middleton’s wedding.
Back in September during the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first joint appearance, holding hands for the cameras and being all cute.
The former Suits actress (yep, she has quit the show) recently spoke about her boyfriend for the first time.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, she said of her royal beau: “We’re a couple. We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”
Late last year, the Prince was forced to release a statement regarding his relationship with Meghan and the racism she has faced on account of it. Speaking about how her relationship has been affected by its high profile, she said: “It has its challenges, and it comes in waves – some days it can feel more challenging than others,” she said. “And right out of the gate it was surprising the way things changed. But I still have this support system all around me, and, of course, my boyfriend’s support.”
She went on: “I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple.
“We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception. Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
