Luxury French fashion house Hermès has expanded its parlay into beauty with a new collection of nail lacquers - following the popular lipstick and blush launches of last year.
With 24 different shades available, the collection consists of ultrafine, bio-sourced pigments that require only one coat. The colours are accompanied by a top and base coat, as well as hand care tools such as nail brushes and files that pay homage to the brand’s equestrian heritage.
Leading the range is Hermès’s signature orange hue, “Orange Boîte”, that translates to Orange Box in English. It is accompanied by “Rouge Casaque”, a bold red colour, “Rose Magenta,” a deep pink, and Vert Egyptien, a bright turquoise, to name a few.
Agnès de Villers, chief executive officer of Hermès Beauty and Fragrances says: “For Hermès, the hands are like the face, because everything [in our métiers] is handmade.”
The varnishes will be available from the Hermès online store from 15 October, priced at US$45 each.
