Stripes, dots and graphic shapes are trending. Don’t be left out – try these simple, chic and quick nail art looks today!
1 Fierce triangles
Why we love it: Seen on the AW15 runway of Alexis Mabille, this triangular design is chic with a grunge, edgy feel.
Get the look: Buff your nails and cover them with a clear top coat. Use tape to cover your nails, leaving only a central triangle exposed. Apply one or two coats of polish to the centre of your nail. Once dried, remove the tape.
2 Quirky dots
Why we love it: The nails spotted (excuse the pun!) on the AW16 runway of Ohne Titel are just the right amount of whimsical.
Get the look: Apply one to two coats of dark polish to your nails. Use a dotting tool and white polish to create your spots. Start with the bigger dots to map out your space, then fill in the smaller dots.
3 Metallic stripes
Why we love it: This design worn on the SS16 Noon by Noor runway has a futuristic feel, while still being very clean and minimalistic.
Get the look: Start by applying a sheer pink base coat. Using a metallic polish and a striping brush (or an old makeup brush), paint a thin stripe down your nail, slightly off centre.
4 Vampy tips
Why we love it: On his AW16 runway, Julien Macdonald featured this modern take on the classic French mani – what’s not to love?
Get the look: First, paint your nails with one or two coats of nude polish. Once dry, sweep a line of liquid eyeliner across the tip of your nail. Finish off with a clear top coat to keep it in place.
5 Dainty petals
Why we love it: Super cute and refined, the nails on the Tibi SS16 runway played with the negative space trend and resembled flower petals.
Get the look: Paint the top half of your nails with a layer of opaque nail polish. Using an earbud dipped in polish remover, erase a line down the centre of your nail to create two polished sections. Use the earbud to round the edges of these sections.
