DON’T lick your lips (even when you’re not rocking two-tone lipstick!). Enzymes in saliva dry out skin and remove any lip balm you’ve applied.
DO drink plenty of water and avoid salty foods to hydrate lips.
DO eat foods tick in omega-3, like walnuts and salmon. They help your body replace old skin cells with new ones.
DON’T spend too much time in the wind as it damages the top layer of skin on your lips, leading to cracks. Wrap a scarf around your face on blustery days.
DO create a DIY lip exfoliator by mixing sugar with olive oil and gently rubbing it over lips with an old toothbrush.
DO apply lip balm before bed and throughout the day. It looks great over and under lipstick!
