Maintain your hair health
It's simple, the healthier your hair is the longer the colour will last. Colour fades quickly on damaged hair because it doesn't take as well, therefore it fades faster. The best thing to do is use products that don't have sulphates or parabens as they help to keep the colour for longer.
Get the gloss
"Glossing is important. Shampoo, Gloss, Condition. No matter what you do, your colour will fade and dull naturally from environmental and mechanical (blow-dry, curling iron, flat iron) damage. Using a gloss will prevent hair colour from losing its lustre and will keep your hair healthy, shiny, and vibrant at all times. Plus, every time you shampoo your hair, a little bit of the colour washes out/fades so that’s why it’s important to introduce glossing into your routine. By glossing, you are putting back the colour you've washed out. You are putting it back into balance and stabilising the colour. If your hair gets brassy, I would recommend using it every time your shampoo. Once it’s brassy, it’s brassy, so you want to do it preventatively. If you start glossing the second you've had it coloured, it should prevent any brassy or orange tones.
What to avoid
"Colour treated hair should stay away from sodium chloride, sulphates and parabens. If fine, stay away from silicone because it will weigh down hair. Stay away from products that are too conditioning. Those are better for thicker hair.
Scalp health
You have to treat your scalp as you treat your skin. That means washing it and stop using dry shampoo. With all of the products that we use, plus the environment, you will clog your pores. You need to clean your scalp so that the pores are open and breathing to have healthy hair growth. The best way to hide roots is my Root Concealer. It covers grow out between appointments and is easy to spray on the hair where you need it. It also stays put until you shampoo it out. You can also try changing your parting and having more of a messy style so that the growth is less obvious.
You're welcome.
