So, you’re been toying with the idea of cutting a fringe for a while… but how do you know if it will actually suit you? Before you commit to the chop, you need to decide what look you want to go for. The tips below will help you make that big bang decision:
If you want to…give yourself some edge
A choppy fringe balances out the tendency to look sweet. Or simply grow out your fringe to just below the eye.
If you want to…play up your cheekbones
Try a long fringe with a middle part which draws the eye to the centre of your face. It works with a ponytail, too!
If you want to…look sexy
Go for a side sweep! A few stray strands here and there look perfectly ‘undone’.
If you want to…appear mysterious
Opt for a classic, full fringe. Make sure it’s length falls between your brows and eyelids.
If you want to…go super feminine
A choppy fringe at brow length flatters any face. For extra swing, ask your stylist to ‘thin’ it out a little.
If you want to…show off your eyes
Keep your fringe short so that the focus will fall on your lashes. FYI – you’ll need to book regular trims.
