If I’m being honest, I’ve been rocking a bold lip every morning (shhh don’t judge). There’s just something about a dark lip that effortlessly elevates and transforms a simple look; taking you from morning slum to full glam-boss mode. While this sounds great, rocking a bold lip can be daunting for most. Lip Scrub

There is nothing worse than wearing a bold lip and having to hide cracked lips. Lip Scrubs are great at exfoliating the lips, they combat dry and flakiness for a much smoother base. Go for sugar scrubs as they usually work best.

Lip Primer

Following a good scrub, apply a nourishing lip balm or lip oil to ensure that your lips are well moisturised for the steps to follow. Lip Balms leave a smooth and hydrating layer that is great for priming and extending the life of your lippie throughout the day. Vaseline is an all-time favourite. Application Time

A non-negotiable when wearing a bold lip is using a lip liner to prevent the colour from bleeding. They're great for when you want to achieve the illusion of fuller lips and create that perfect pout! PS: A good liner will ensure that your lip colour lasts throughout the day - even through dinner. This season's favourite shades include vampy shades of plum, darker reds, and brighter blues. Next, you can either opt for a bullet or liquid lipstick - both have amazing staying power! Optional -lock it in with a clear gloss for a sheen finish, if that’s your vibe.
