Originally from South Korea, Jae moved to South Africa 10 years ago at a very young and tender age. Even though he recalls one of his hardest struggles when relocating was learning the English language, he now speaks; English, Portuguese and Korean, so sexy! Jae’s not the cliche blonde hair blue eyed hottie, he has an extremely androgynous look to him, which is what sets him apart from the rest and why we are completely obsessed with with him! His unique facial features have given him platform to work with many prominent brands such as Puma, Andriaan Kuiters and The Superbalist.
Jae’s family is one of artists and creatives, his parents were both professional jewellery designers and makers and his older sister along with their dad are currently studying art at the same university in Korea. Since he began modelling, Jae developed an interest in fashion designing, he has started researching different materials and fabrics, he aspires to ultimately establish himself in the industry more than just a model, but a designer as well. Like we said, family of creatives!
Jae says at first glance you might think he’s an introvert but he’s actually the complete opposite. Due to having had experienced so many different ways of life and different cultures, he’s exploding with so many ideas and opinions that you can rarely keep him muzzled so he’s definitely an extrovert through and through! He says he’s inspired by many things, he’s inspired by anyone who has a passion and give its they all. “My role model has always been Real Madrid soccer player, Christiano Ronaldo” he says, he himself is an avid soccer player and enjoys being on the field.
