The spring beauty edit

Two great products = one gorgeous catwalk look. All you need to know about how to wear the latest trends for your prettiest spring yet.

Brown lids + full brows

A brown shadow teamed with a strong brow creates drama, but the finish still looks natural on all skintones.

Get the look: Using an angled brush sweep the shadow across your entire lid, but don’t work the pigment higher than your crease. For thicker brows use a powder to fill in gaps. Apply a darker shade to your arch and blend it out, then lightly apply colour at the inner brow and brush them upwards.

Jewel shadow + black liner

This is a cool, alternative smoky eye as long as the rest of the face is kept bare. The liner offsets the shadow, which looks super-sexy.

Get the look: For eye-catching lids blend your shadow all the way up towards the brow bone. Then steady your elbow on a table and line your upper lash line with a black liquid liner, flicking it outwards at the end for a sultry finish.

Glowing skin + a tinted lip

A flawless face and tinted pout is the perfect fresh-faces look. The lips have enough colour so the face doesn’t look washed out.

Get the look: Opt for a light foundation or tinted moisturiser that has a built-in primer to give your complexion a dew finish and buff it on with a brush so it stays even. Using your finger, pat on a creamy balm to give lips a hint of colour, then use the tinted balm on cheekbones for an extra gleam.

Rouge cheeks + a scarlet lip

This is like a contemporary Snow White. The red cheeks are young and outdoorsy, while the lips keep the look sexy and seductive.

Get the look: Using a large powder brush apply the blusher just below the apples of the cheeks so it’s not too doll-like. If it looks too strong, dab on foundation and blend. Then create your scarlet pout by applying two coats of lipstick – use a lip brush for precision to prevent the colour from ‘bleeding’ outside of your lip line.

Fuchsia lips + bright eyes

Bold lipstick with clean, flawless skin is so hot this season. An under-eye brightener is all it needs to look fresh.

Get the look: To keep a strong lip colour from looking too hard, dab it on with your ring finger for a soft finish. Brighten eyes with a light-reflecting pen to mask darker areas around your eyes. Don’t forget the inner corners of your eyes – a hint of light here makes eyes pop.
