Flashback: GLAMOUR hosts the spectacular Celebration of Mothers Event

On the 18th of May the grand Pepper Club hotel in Cape Town opened its doors to Glamour’s spectacular Celebration of Mothers event in partnership with Foschini. The afternoon was filled with love, appreciation, and heartfelt moments as we honored and celebrated the maternal figures in our lives.

The event embodied Glamour and Foschini’s commitment to celebrating womanhood and female empowerment. In honor of Mother’s Day, Glamour and Foschini collaborated to host a memorable event, a special occasion to express gratitude and love to the women who shaped us.

Glamour unveiled their May Digital cover introducing Ntando Zikalala and Zandisile Nhlapo as the cover stars. It was an exciting and heartfelt moment captured as Ntando and Zandi joined forces to share their journey on motherhood. Our Editor-in-Chief, Nontando Mposo, had the opportunity to chat with Ntando and Zandi, delving into how they navigate the complexities of motherhood and womanhood, and how they tackle each new challenge.

The grand Pepper Club Hotel set the tone for the day as guests indulged in an opulent experience. Attendees dined in style, experiencing a truly luxurious culinary adventure.

Our amazing features editor, Thobeka Phanyeko, led an engaging panel discussion accompanied by a phenomenal group of women, Aisha Baker, Mala Bryan and Zukiswa Zono. The ladies discussed motherhood, the struggles thereof, and reflections on self-care. Positive and enlightening conversations filled the room as guests shared their experiences of motherhood.

Brands onboarded for the special occasion and set up activations showcasing their products. Guests leaned into the experience and learned about brands and their products.

Foschini introduced Luella makeup as part of its official launch in South Africa. Makeup stations were set up for guests to enjoy complimentary touch-ups and makeovers, ensuring that they looked stunning throughout the day.

Foschini showcased their latest winter collection in a fashion show, showcasing their new pieces for the season. From winter dresses to coats and boots, guests were amazed by the gorgeous new winter collection.

Ladina Wigs & Hair Care set up an engaging activation, showcasing their top-selling wigs and offering insights into hair care. Guests had the opportunity to explore a variety of wig styles and learn tips for maintaining healthy, beautiful hair.

Isuzu elevated the experience by showcasing their finest model Isuzu X-Rider. Glamour’s Fashion Director, Tania Durand, and Editior-in-Chief, Nontando Mposo, experienced the car’s elegance and sleek interior design as they arrived at the event in Isuzu. Guests were captivated by the Isuzu X-Rider, eagerly snapping photos with the sleek and stylish vehicle.

Motherkind shed insight on the importance of internal wellness by presenting its range of collagen supplements. Guests enjoyed delicious collagen smoothies while learning about the numerous health benefits collagen offers. Rochelle Kloeck, CEO of Motherkind, shared insights on mommy wellness, emphasizing the importance of integrating gut health into overall well-being.

Juniper Moon Gin impressed guests with a variety of specially crafted drinks prepared by a skilled mixologist. From dazzling pink cocktails to berry and strawberry-infused gins, guests enjoyed a tantalizing gin journey delighting their taste buds.

Weltevreden Wines joined in on the opulent experience, with a selection of their finest wines on display for the guests to taste and enjoy. They ensured our glasses remained full and our spirits merry throughout the day.

Elizabeth Arden hosted a stunning activation, showcasing their bestsellers and beautifully scented fragrances. The venue was filled with delightful aromas, and guests eagerly filled their beauty carts with products to purchase.
