So, I’m absolutely not a fan of podcasts with a men-only panel, but I really enjoy the ShxtsNGigs podcast TikTok account. Best friends James and Fuhad read funny Tweets they receive from their listeners about various topics, and their interpretations have me in stitches. They have a 4.9 rating on Spotify, so they must be doing something right.

I listen to Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess with Dr Caroline Leaf because it helps me take care of my mental state and put things into perspective, and it’s beneficial to my wellbeing and quality of life. So too is Daily Inspiration by Steve Harvey, which features snippets from his morning show. I love Steve because he’s direct. He makes me feel I can keep going. My favourite part is that he includes God in his motivational segments. As a Christian, it gives me perspective on how to navigate global challenges whilst keeping my moral compass in check.

I love listening to On Purpose with Jay Shetty. His spiritual journey is enlightening, and he teaches you how to harness the power of your mind. I feel inspired by his conversations with his guests to live a more meaningful, intentional existence through small everyday habits. Another podcast I love is Pretty Big Deal with Ashley Graham, which features light-hearted, feel-good content with some of my favourite female celebs. The Business of Fashion podcast, also on my list, offers insightful conversations about the latest trends and news in fashion.

Being a book lover without much time to read, I’ve been listening to Cheeky Natives, a social media-based literary platform run by Dr Alma-Nalisha Cele and Letlhogonolo Mokgoroane. They have attention-grabbing conversations about writing, the reading culture and various topical issues, and advise on who and what to read.

A little lewd but incredibly hilarious, I’ve really enjoyed listening to Who shat on the floor at my wedding? As you might infer from the title, this podcast is about a true story involving two brides and one poop. We join the brides, Helen and Karen, as they interrogate wedding guests and speak to forensic experts to find out who the messy culprit was. It’s a wild concept for a podcast, but it makes for great comic relief.
