Following a historic win, fans took to Twitter to congratulate the national women's football team.
The South African national women’s football team has once again made the nation proud after beating Morocco 2-1 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Saturday. It was a clear win for Banyana Banyana despite an extra nine minutes added on at the end of the match. Finishing the tournament with a 100% record.
Led by Coach Desiree Ellis, the team was also crowned the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations champions, and congratulatory messages have been pouring in.
