The late rapper’s much-anticipated album, Mass Country has finally dropped and fans are gooped. At the time of his untimely passing, AKA had announced the release date and Spotify has dubbed it as a parting gift to his fans and a love letter to South Africa.
The album which samples different sounds features SA’s biggest Hip Hop names, including Khuli Chana, Blxckie, Emtee, Yanga Chief, Sjava and Nadia Nakai.
AKA passed away tragically after he was shot at close range outside Wish Restaurant in Durban. His team, which includes VTH, The T Effect, and Sony Music Entertainment Africa have gone ahead with the release of his album in order to respect his wishes and honour his memory.
The Megacy were treated to a listening session ahead of the album drop, and Nadia Nakai shared what this moment means to her in an Instagram post.
