The arrival of the Netflix reality show on South African shores caught viewers off guard. Six couples joined the series with one clear intention: to stop wasting time in their relationships. Amidst the drama that ensued, it’s Khanya’s mean girl energy that captivated Mzansi’s attention.
The U.S. version of the show was known for its wholesomeness, so when news spread that The Ultimatum SA had premiered on Netflix, audiences swarmed to the streaming platform. Hosted by South African celebrity couple, Tshepo and Salamina Mosese, the show is giving what it’s supposed to.

Meanwhile, Khanya's behaviour has sparked discussions around toxicity, with social media users also questioning her partner, Nkateko's, decision to remain by her side despite her harmful actions. Many agree that the promise ring was karma.
