Popular digital content creator and businesswoman, Kay Yarms took a detour on her YouTube channel to address trolls.
Kay Yarms deviated from regular programming on her YouTube vlog to get a few things off her chest. Considering that whenever Kay Yarms uploads content, the streets shake, it's not surprising that she's at the top of the trend list.
The successful content creator has taken a stand against bullying after being silent for 2 years. Expressing that she can no longer continue to let certain narratives go unchallenged, she decided to use her platform to set the record straight. She also addressed the rumours surrounding her relationship with Flacko, and went as far as sharing her HIV status. It's rather unfortunate that public figures have to go to this extent to protect themselves, and their brands.
It's no secret that the Forbes 30 under 30 creative is influential so this could be a turning point for South Africans who have normalized trolling on social media. Judging by some of the reactions on Twitter, Kay Yarms could actually be on to something with regard to elevating the conversation around mental health.
