Built in 1927, The Bromwell in Woodstock was one of Cape Town’s most iconic hotels. After an extensive refurbishment, it is now home to a delicious offering of high fashion and fine cuisine.
Located in this beautifully restored historic building is BREAD Café, a chic, trendy destination eatery and bakery bringing a touch of the luxurious and the delicious to the vibrant Albert Road strip in Woodstock. Here, all the area’s fashionable, hip, arty, suited and eccentric meet to enjoy honest comfort food, tempting pastries, fragrant teas, and freshly brewed coffee.
Upstairs, some of South Africa’s leading designers showcase their latest fashion pieces. Designs from fashion lumunaries that include David Tlale, Lara Klawikowski, Korbla Dzotsi and the RuffTung duo of Bridget Pickering and Ludwig Bausch feature prominently in a warm inviting environment reminiscent of a personal walk-in closet.
For the month of November, BREAD Cafe and The Bromwell are offering GLAMOUR readers a chance to experience the history, charm and luxury that this destination is known for. Readers who bring their November issue of GLAMOUR in-store will receive a free coffee from BREAD Cafe, as well as R200 off any purchase of R500 or more at the upstairs fashion mall.
