November calls for much celebration. As we prepare to close up the year, Glamour celebrates its annual Women of the Year Awards ceremony around the world.
Glamour South Africa will be celebrating the prestigious event on 25 November 2023, while Glamour US held theirs last night at the Lincoln Centre in New York City.
Honouring some of this year’s most inspiring women, Glamour US’ WOTY 2023 recipients are actor and author Brooke Shields, actor, writer, and showrunner Quinta Brunson, actor and singer Mary J. Blige, model and transgender advocate Geena Rocero, and actor, author, and advocate Selma Blair.
Selma Blair also received the Daring to Disrupt Award - a new category which showcases Glamour’s commitment to championing the stories of women who are changing industries by challenging the status quo.
In October, Glamour unveiled the first-ever global Women of the Year honorees and covers. Actors Millie Bobby Brown and America Ferrera are featured on special digital covers across Glamour editions in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Spain, and Mexico.
The evening was hosted by comedian Michelle Buteau, and began with a performance of “Want Want” by Maggie Rogers.
In attendance were the likes of Taraji P. Henson, Aoki Lee Simmons, Olivia Palermo, Nicky Hilton, Kat Graham, Ayo Edebiri.
