Closing off Women’s Month with Levi’s Curvy

We couldn't have imagined a better way to close off Women’s Month than with our community at our Curvy celebration on 29 August. The event featured a powerful panel discussion with inspiring women, including actress, activist, and the new Levi’s® Curvy Ambassador, Nomzamo Mbatha, Amapiano musician Lady Du, and entrepreneur Ndalo, moderated by Levi’s® Culture and Network Manager, Angela Weickl.

Together, these incredible women delved into conversations about self-love, confidence, and what it means to be 'curvy' in today’s world.

The panel kicked off with a discussion on the multifaceted meaning of being 'curvy.' The conversation challenged conventional beauty standards and highlighted how women have been socialised to believe that curves serve a singular body type.

Each speaker shared their personal stories and experiences, reflecting on what Levi’s® Curvy represents for them and how the range aligns with their journeys toward self-acceptance.

A key theme of the panel was confidence—particularly how the right clothing fit can profoundly impact how women view themselves. Inclusivity goes beyond size, and this event was an affirmation that all women deserve to feel confident and beautiful in their skin.

In addition to the panel discussion, the event also featured an interactive CREATE station where guests could paint Curvy-themed ceramics.

The affirmation wall provided a space for attendees to leave messages of empowerment and positivity for one another, fostering an incredible sense of community during the event and beyond.
