For the duration of Women’s Month in South Africa this August, Apple Music is spotlighting four phenomenal musicians who are the epitome of hard work and undeniable talent fueling their successful careers. Neo-R&B songstress Elaine, Afro-pop singer-songwriter Nomfundo Moh, pop R&B star Nanette and Amapiano DJ and producer Uncle Waffles will each feature on the cover of Apple Music’s Alpha playlist in August to celebrate their new releases on this premiere playlist.
Apple Music’s Alpha playlist highlights female artists who are history-makers and game-changers in their respective genres. In receiving this honour, they join the likes of Beyoncé, who was the first artist to grace the cover of the new playlist earlier this year. The women were unveiled as Alpha cover stars at a media event hosted by Apple Music Africa Now Radio Host, Nandi Madida, in which they expressed gratitude:

I represent women who are not afraid to embrace their superpower and vulnerability, as well as those who are still learning what that means.
