Glamour’s July issue - which also happens to be our 200th Edition - is our big, bold Beauty Issue, and features the phenomenal Zinhle Jiyane, aka DJ Zinhle.
As a businesswoman, producer and media personality, DJ Zinhle knows a thing or two about juggling many hats - and while she thrives in her fast-paced industry, she still finds time to be present and attentive in her role as a mom.
Zinhle’s two daughters, baby Asante, whom she shares with partner Bongani 'Murdah Bongz' Mahosana, and Kairo Owethu Forbes, whom she shares with rapper AKA, are her pride and joy.
In fact, daughter Kairo is growing up to be a star in her own right. The 6-year-old has her own Instagram page (managed by her Glammy Lynn Forbes) and has already amassed over a million followers.
She models, dances, plays sports, and enjoys a glamorous lifestyle with her famous parents. Here are a few reasons why we love the little girl.
She’s an awesome big sister
In September last year, Kairo became a big sister to baby Asante. In the July issue of Glamour SA, Zinhle revealed how Kairo is still settling into her new role. However, if Instagram is anything to go by, Kairo seems thrilled at the prospect of having a sibling. From morning cuddles to reading sessions, Kairo is ever ready to report for big sister duty - and does it in the cutest way possible.
She’s a little fashionista
Kairo’s one of the most stylish 6-year-old’s around and always has the perfect outfit for any occasion. From shopping, to beach days, ballet costumes and more, she’s not afraid to show off her OOTD’s - and the clever styling hacks that go along with it.
She’s a multi-talented queen
Kairo may be giving her famous parents a run for their money when it comes to being a multi-talented star. The little girl not only has the makings of a model but she’s a rising gymnast too. She does ballet, swims, plays the piano, and is not afraid to try her hand at just about any activity - even holding a giant snake just to say that she accomplished it. Do we need any more reasons to stan?
She’s a budding entertainer
Being multi-talented goes hand-in-hand with being an entertainer - and Kairo loves being in front of the camera. She loves documenting her dance moves, makeup routines, and everyday life. If you’re lucky, you may even find her entertaining the crowd at a packed airport during a flight delay.
