The rise of Uncle Waffles continues.
The 23-year old DJ blew up on social media after a video of her DJing went viral on Twitter - and she gained a follower from Drake.
Since then, she’s captivated SA with her incredible DJing skills and next-level dance moves.
Now, the young star continues to rise. Uncle Waffles - real name - announced on her Instagram that she will be performing at Afronation in Portugal in July this year.
The music festival, held each summer at the beautiful Praia da Rocha beach, just south of Portimão, Portugal, celebrates the best of Afrobeats, hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, amapiano, Afrohouse and more.
This is the first international gig for the star, who will be sharing the stage with the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Chris Brown, Burna Boy and WizKid. Other South African acts who will be taking the stage are DBN Gogo, Focalistic, Major League, Kamo Mphela, and more.

While some touted that Uncle Waffles is just a “one hit wonder” and would after disappear after the year came to end, the amapiano artist is proving critics wrong and establishing herself as a household name.
No doubt her performance in Portugal is going to be fire.
