The Real Housewives franchise is set to spread across Africa, says Multichoice Channel Director of Local Entertainment Nomsa Philiso.
Philiso says viewers should expect more exciting content which will keep them glued on their TV screens.
“We know fans love all the Real Housewives series and we’ve got lots of exciting plans coming up, across the country and the continent. We will share details as soon as we can,” says Philiso.
This comes after a temporary setback suffered by the Real Housewives of Johannesburg this week.
Philiso adds that the group is working on resolving issues on RHOJoburg.
“It's a temporary setback, season three of The Real Housewives of Johannesburg will continue at a later stage. We’ll share more details as they become available, but we can say that it’s going to be even more fabulous than ever before, “said Philiso.
Philiso said the Real Housewives of Durban which broke records on its first episode early this year will not be affected by the cancellation of #RHOJOBURG as the production of the two shows are different.
“No, it will not impact the franchise. The Real Housewives of Durban has been a phenomenal success and has raised the bar on what to expect from the reality franchise in South Africa.
“The show has trended every Friday and broken viewing records on Showmax. We still have the season finale on 16 April and the reunion later this year to look forward to,” adds Philiso.
