Television and Radio personality Thando Thabethe has left 5FM after five years with the station.
In an exclusive with Channel24, Thabethe broke the news, saying the decision wasn’t an easy one but it had to be done.
"We had to make a very difficult decision, something we've had to ponder over for many, many months. Basically, I've tendered my resignation at 5FM. And the idea is to focus on the things that I want to do," she said.

Thabethe added that she hopes her time on the airwaves has inspired other aspiring presenters.
"I've been doing it for almost 11 years now, and I hope I've opened up the path for other young, black women to soar in that field."
Thabethe would be officially leaving the radio station on Thursday 5 March.
The 29-year-old will now be concentrating on her acting career.
"I start shooting Housekeepers season 2 on Friday, and we're broadening horizons into the world in that sphere," she said.
Thabethe was part of The Thabooty Drive - a weekly afternoon drive show on 5FM. The show was made up of Thabethe and Msizi James.
