Who knew horse racing could be so Glamourous? Africa’s Richest Race Day,

The turnout was impressive, so was the attention to detail and effort all in attendance put into the dress code which was themed, African Luxury: Visionaries. Take a look at three of our favourite moments from Sun Met 2020 below.

 

The Red Carpet & Fashion

In addition to the African kings and queens who slayed the red carpet, the likes of style icon Bonang Matheba arrived in Nigerian designer Matopeda, the gorgeous Miss SA Sasha-Lee Olivier wore a customised Ryan Keys gown and power couple, Precious and Sifiso Mazibuko, rocked the best of SA designer wear.

The Fashion Show

Opened by afro-futuristic fashion visionaries, Imprint, and headlined by fashion designer and creative behind Mantsho, Palesa Mokubung, the Sun Met 2020 definitely made the highlight reel from this year’s richest horse racing event.

The After Party

Kicked off by South African House Artist Holly Rey, the Sun Met 2020 after-party was super lit. Afro House DJ Da Capo and Courtna é Paul kept things going with their smooth beats and internationally renowned DJ Black Coffee ended the night with an epic set. The bar for Sun Met 2021 has been set high.
