Selena Gomez is the new face of Pantene.
The 22-year-old singer-and-actress revealed the news to her 30 million Twitter followers and posted a photo from the campaign in which she wears a dazzling white dress and shows off her shiny brunette locks.
Along with the picture, she tweeted: “I am so happy to announce my new partnership with Pantene!”
And in a video released alongside the shots, the star admitted she is “thrilled and honoured” about her new job.
She said: “I can’t wait to see what we’re gonna do, and we’re gonna have an awesome, awesome year.”
The official Pantene Twitter account made a post to officially welcome Selena to the “Pantene Family”.
The message read: “We’re excited to welcome the one & only @SelenaGomez to the Pantene Family! #SelenaXPantene (sic)”
This is the first beauty campaign for Selena who is currently promoting upcoming animated children’s film Transylvania 2‘. She is also set to release a new single on June 22.
In the meantime the trend-setter will be using her luscious Latino mane to shut down haters and boost sales of the world famous brand of shampoos, conditioners and styling products.
Speaking about Pantene’s products in the video, she said: “I’ve used it my whole life, and their message for women, being ‘strong is beautiful’ and what they represent is so what I embody and what I want my fans to feel comfortable in.
“And it’s fun, it’s so fun to feel your inner girl playing with your hair and feeling beautiful and having fun with it.”
