Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer Tems received 5 nominations for the Soul Train Awards which will take place on November 20th 2021.
Tems has been nominated for Soul Train Awards which include Best new artist, and alongside Wizkid for their collab on “Essence”, Video of the Year, Song of the Year and Best collaboration.
Following the success of Essence, Wizkid’s summer track she featured on and slayed, Tems also recently released her second EP, If Orange Was A Place and featured on Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album. In other exciting news, her NPR Tiny Desk Concert was released this week, you can watch it below.
According to Billboard, H.E.R. leads the 2021 Soul Train Awards hopefuls with eight nominations while Jazmine Sullivan and Chris Brown follow with six nominations each. Other artists featured in the awards nomination list includes Blxst with four nominations as well as Silk Sonic, Doja Cat, and Yung Bleu each with three nominations.
