Nina Agdal says she was body shamed by a magazine & her response was PERFECT
Nina Agdal has something to say! After being allegedly body shamed by a magazine that decided to pull off her cover shoot, the
Victoria’s Secret model took to social media to express her disappointment with the unfortunate reality of her industry.
In a powerful statement, the Victoria’s Secret model explained that she was hired to front a magazine and pose for a story, but the pictures did not turn out as the editors expected and they pulled the plug on the editorial.
Nina, who has a toned and healthy body, is not a sample size nor has the body of what she refers to as a “runway model”; and because of that the magazine claimed that the images they shot “did not fit their market,” and it didn’t reflect well on Nina’s talent. LIKE WHAT?! Have you seen Nina Agdal?

The model continues by saying that working in the industry, she suffered “unrealistic pressures” and had to deal with “paralyzing social anxiety”, but she walked into that photoshoot confident and owning her shape:
“I walked into that shoot as a 25-year-old WOMAN feeling more comfortable in my own skin and healthier than ever before. Some days I’m a sample size, some days I’m a size 4, some a 6. I am not built as a runway model and have never been stick thin. Now more than ever, I embrace my curves and work diligently in the gym to stay strong and most of all, sane.”
Nina decided to release one of the images of this photoshoot with the goal of “bringing women from all over together in a celebration of our bodies.”
