Trevor Noah’s award-winning autobiography Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood is getting some big screen time. And you will never guess who will be playing the role of his mother Patricia- yes you guessed it, non-other than award-winning and woman of the moment Lupita Nyong’o!
The actress confirmed the news on Twitter in the early hours of Wednesday morning, after Deadline.com first made the news public.

Trevor Noah then reposted the picture saying: “My mom is a powerful woman who could easily be one of the beautiful soldiers in Wakanda. So it’s beyond a perfect fit that she would be portrayed on the big screen by the radiant and regal Lupita Nyong’o. I’m beyond excited.”
There has been no word on when the cast will begin filming or who will be playing the role of Trevor. Who do you think it will be? Trevor himself or maybe Michael B. Jordan?
