Kris Jenner has described her daughter Khloe Kardashian’s split from her ex-husband Lamar Odom as “challenging”, following Khloe’s decision to file divorce papers against Lamar Odom on 13 December.
The 58-year-old reality star admits her daughter’s split from her ex-husband Lamar Odom, 34, has been difficult for Khloe and the extended family following her divorce filing on December 13, but has been impressed by how her daughter has dealt with the crisis.
She told People magazine: “What Khloe is going through is definitely challenging, I’m not going to lie. It’s also a very interesting time for her because it’s very cleansing. She’s also showed this side of her that I didn’t know she had. I always knew Khloe was strong, but I never dreamed that she had this kind of strength.”
Despite the heartache, Kris insist Khloe, 29, is remaining positive and is determined to use the experience in a positive way.
She added: “It’s definitely life lessons that she will be able to apply and use later in her life. She’s learned a lot from this situation.”
Khloe cited “irreconcilable differences” in papers to end her four-year marriage to Lamar, following numerous allegations he is using crack-cocaine and has cheated on her with several women, however, Kris insists she still has love for the basketball player.
The showbiz matriarch mused: “I still love Lamar and I love Khloe, and I hate, hate they’re going through this. But if it’s something that Khloe feels she needs to do, then I’m 150 percent behind her. We all lean on each other, we have to.”
Khloe has since been linked to Dodgers baseball player Matt Kemp but recently took to Twitter to brand the rumours “bulls**t”.
