Kim Kardashian is preparing to divorce Kanye West – reports

Keeping up With the Kardashian star, Kim Kardashian West is reportedly preparing to separate from Kanye West after seven years in marriage.

A source close to the couple has told a US magazine that Kanye knows that “she’s done” and Kim is working with a top “divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.”

"He knows that she’s done. She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future," a source told PEOPLE.

The unnamed source adds that Kanye is bracing for a filing but doesn't know when it'll happen.

Kim last August pledged that she will "be there for" Kanye West "through thick and thin", despite turbulence in their marriage, reported Bang Showbiz at the time.

The reality star and her husband were enduring a tumultuous time few weeks ago in their marriage after Kanye made several inflammatory comments about his spouse, including accusing her of "trying to lock him up" and claiming he had been trying to divorce her for two years.

Kanye's comments prompted Kim to issue a statement about her husband's battle with bipolar disorder, and the “Bound 2” rapper eventually tweeted a public apology to the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star.

And after the couple jetted off on a make-or-break vacation in the Dominican Republic, sources said Kim is still "focused on healing her relationship".

But another US tabloid, HITC, reveals that the couple had been living separate lives since late last year after Kanye’s social media outburst and his last-minute bid in running for president.

The two renowned stars were in talks over a settlement, and Kim is said to be serious about taking the bar examination and becoming a lawyer and working on her prison reform campaign.

Kim had been married twice before tying the know with Kanye West in 2014.

They have four kids together, daughter North, son Saint, daughter Chicago, and son Psalm.

Meanwhile the news that the couple were going to divorce shook social media users on Wednesday morning.
