Following a plea deal in March over allegations that he struck photographer Daniel Ramos in an unprovoked attack last summer, Kanye West is teaching fashion students as part of his community service. The ‘Bound 2’ rapper was seen at the L.A. Trade Technical College, where he reportedly spoke to pupils about his personal experiences in the fashion business in a lesson on designers which lasted for three hours.
It was apparently Kanye’s third visit to the establishment – which specialises in designing apparel – in six weeks and he has been speaking at multiple colleges as part of his 250-hour community service sentence.
Kanye – who together with wife Kim Kardashian recently threw a lavish first birthday party for daughter North– struck a deal over the case which meant he didn’t have to plead guilty to misdemeanour charges of battery against the paparazzo. Under the agreement, he is able to maintain his innocence legally, under the condition that he remains under probation for two years, undertakes 250 hours of community service and undergoes anger management counselling. Earlier in the case, Daniel testified saying he felt the 37-year-old rapper should go to jail, claiming his emotional injuries are still prominent and that he believes Kanye used the incident to promote his album ‘Yeezus’.
