Dr. Dre is buying Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady’s R518 million Los Angeles mansion as he is in talks to sell his Beats Electronics business to Apple for $3.2billion, approximately R33 billion.
The rapper and producer, who is in talks to sell his Beats Electronics business to Apple, has been busy looking for a new property and has his eye on the impressive custom-built home in Brentwood.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Dre put an offer on the mansion as soon as it came on the market, and is a few weeks away from closing.”
Insiders claim the star made an offer near the R518 million asking price for the 14,000-square-foot property, which boasts six bedrooms, a fully-equipped gym, library, infinity pool and even a moat and waterfall.
Gisele and Tom reportedly forked out R414 million over the space of four years to build their dream home but plan to relocate to Boston permanently, where they’re busy constructing yet another massive 14,300 square-foot mansion over five acres of land.
The supermodel and NFL star – who have a four-year-old son, Benjamin, together – also recently splashed out on a R145 million apartment in New York City.
Dre, 49, recently joked about the Forbes list of the richest stars in hip-hop, which placed him at number two behind Puff Daddy, saying: “They need to update the Forbes list. S**t just changed.”
In a video which was posted on actor Tyrese Gibson’s Facebook page, Dre added: “The first billionaire in hip-hop, right here from the motherf***king West Coast”, before later deleting the post.
