There had been rumours going around about Cardi B expecting her first child with fiancé Offset for a while. And on Saturday night, the rapper—fresh off a certified-gold debut album and the announcement of a design collaboration with Instagram-influencer favourite Fashion Nova—addressed them head-on and in her own time. Cardi B is pregnant!
Fans had been speculating about this for months—let’s not forget that instantly iconic moment in February when she responded to an Instagram commenter who asked about her belly with: “no bitch I’m just getting fat.Let me fat in peace”
Her official announcement was just as memorable (and viral). She made her debut on Saturday Night Live, and during her performance of “Be Careful,” she appeared on stage in a form-fitting ruched white dress custom-designed by Christian Siriano that put the baby bump front, centre, and not at all ambiguous.
