Who doesn't love a pregnancy-announcement photo shoot in a crisp, breezy white button-down on a beach? Or in a flowy, floral dress in a field? Classic. But that wouldn't be very on-brand for Cardi B, who just revealed that she's pregnant via an incredibly glamorous Instagram post.
The award-winning rapper kicked off August in a big way with two gorgeous photos set against the stunningly lit New York City skyline on a clear, pitch-black night. But no amount of background illumination can outshine Cardi herself, who's decked out in a red dress that's low-cut enough to reveal her pregnant silhouette.
But this is more than just a maternity fashion moment. Cardi's beauty hits new heights—especially her hair. The voluminous updo she's sporting twists and turns, adding what seems like an entire foot to her petite stature and framing the side of her face with a dramatic tendril. She looks down lovingly at her belly with eye makeup that features a well-defined crease, smoky wing, and ample lashes.
Cardi's caption is full of positivity, even amid news that she's filed for divorce from husband Offset. “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all,” she writes. “You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
She has yet to share exactly when baby number three is due, but we're sure her children Kulture and Wave are just as excited as she is to welcome the new member of the family.
