Buckingham Palace announced through a statement on Thursday that Queen Elizabeth passed away peacefully in Balmoral.
After much speculation about her ailing health, her medical team, led by Prof Sir Huw Thomas recommended that she remain under medical supervision leading up to her final moments.
Her grandchildren, Harry and William were rushed to be by her bedside.
