Now this is the kind of women-supporting-women content I come to the internet to see.
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter (Queen Bey if you're nasty) joined Taylor Swift on the red carpet for the premiere of Swift's Eras Tour movie in Los Angeles and I can't get over the sheer power in this photo. Like, imagine if the BeyHive and the Swifties joined forces. They'd be unstoppable.
Swift's blue Oscar de la Renta ball gown was pure “Love Story,” with a textured floral pattern, decorative cutouts, and a short train. Beyoncé's LaQuan Smith look, meanwhile, was much more modern. Bey wore black skinny pants with platform boots and a space-age-inspired metallic bustier top. It would be so easy to make these two women rivals, but instead they always choose to support each other, and I love that.
On Instagram, Swift posted a video clip of herself and Bey sitting in the empty theater and playfully throwing popcorn, along with a very on-brand heartfelt caption. “I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence,” Swift wrote. “The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale. 😇🙏🥹.”
You can't say it better than that.
