2021 has been a challenging year but at least we can end it on a high note: Beyonce has released new music - well, sort of.
The Halo hitmaker has recorded a theme song for her mother Tina Knowles-Lawson’s new talk show on Facebook Live.
The show, called Talks with Mama Tina, features celebrity guests such as Kevin Hart, Kelly Rowland, Zendaya, and more, as they chat and dine with the Knowles matriarch in her home.
For the song, Beyonce enlisted the help of her kids Blue Ivy Carter, twins Sir and Rumi, as well as her nephew Julez.
In the promo video which Tina posted to her Instagram, the kids can be heard shouting “Let’s Talk about it grandma!” before Beyonce bursts into song.
Although the clip is only less than a minute long, Beyonce’s killer vocals definitely show out. She uses harmonies and vocal layering to belt out the lyrics “Whatever it is, we can talk about it / Tell me how you feel, we can talk about it / Say what’s on your mind, we can talk about it / Simple conversations with no limitations / Come and have a talk with Mama Tina.”
On Instagram, Tina wrote: ““Thank you to my baby @beyonce and my beautiful grand babies for making this special theme song for the show.”
Talks with Mama Tina will debut on 23 December and is available to watch on Knowles-Lawson Instagram page.
