Beyoncé and Jay Z are said to be sleeping in separate hotel rooms in separate hotels while on their On The Run world tour as their marriage is reportedly on its last legs.
The couple – who got married in 2008 and have been plagued by rumours of cheating since footage of Beyoncé’s sister Solange attacking Jay in an elevator after the Met Gala in May was leaked – are said to be sleeping in separate rooms in separate hotels while on their On The Run joint tour.
A source explained: “They’re not just staying in different hotel rooms, but they have booked separate hotels, and they arrive separately to each show.”
Despite managing to play the loving couple while on stage, the pair – who are said to be taking part in online counselling sessions via Skype – have reportedly been talking about calling quits on their relationship, and Beyoncé is said to be fed up of Jay trying to control everything.
The source told the New York Post newspaper’s PageSix: “They’ve had discussions lately about the inevitable sit-down interview when they finally do split, and Jay’s been adamant that he doesn’t want Beyoncé sitting down with Barbara Walters or Oprah Winfrey pretending to be the victim.”
An emergency meeting is said to have taken place between the couple and their tour promoters Live Nation, as there are worries they may not be able to complete their remaining concert dates. The source added: “This may not make it to San Francisco. I’m definitely not sure that they’ll make it to Paris.”
The power couple have nevertheless continued their tour, which saw them perform in Los Angeles last night, watched by a star studded crowd including Natalie Portman, David and Victoria Beckham, Courtney Love, Nicole Richie, Salma Hayek and Nick Cannon.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé released the remix of her track “***Flawless” on Saturday night with a rap verse referring to the elevator incident as well as a rap verse from Nicki Minaj. On the track she says: “Of course sometimes s**t goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator.” Elsewhere in the track she states: “Mommy taught me good home training, my daddy taught me how to love my haters, my sister told me I should speak my mind, my man made me feel so goddamn fine.”
