Serena Williams has given birth to a baby girl. The 35-year-old, whose partner is Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, was admitted to the St Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach on Wednesday.
No word as yet what the baby name is, but the congratulations are pouring in.
Beyonce posted a portrait of a pregnant Williams on Instagram, with the message: “Congratulations Serena!”
During the pregnancy, the couple has shared lots of cute pregnancy photos, and back in June Serena bared all for a Vanity Fair cover shoot. The tennis pro looked incredible.
“If you would have told me last year in October or November that I would have a baby, not be pregnant but have a baby, I would have thought you were the biggest liar in the world,” Serena told Vanity Fair. “This is kind of how I am right now. This is happening sooner than later, and it’s going by so fast.”
She also revealed that she announced her pregnancy to her fiancé by handing him a paper bag containing six positive pregnancy tests.
Earlier this year Alexis publicly gushed about Serena, saying she will give “100% of herself” as a mother.
Speaking to Humans of New York photographer Brandon Stanton at the 2017 Met Gala, he said: “She has the biggest heart. Everyone sees her success as an athlete, but all of that is layered on the size of her heart.”
My only regret is not pointing my toe sorry coach Garry 🙈

The 33-year-old – who co-founded Reddit – continued: “She gives 100% of herself to everything she does: as a friend, as a lover, and soon, as a mother.”
