There must be something in the air. Lately we’ve seen a plethora of celebrity pregnancy announcements - many of them revealed in the most OTT and stylish ways possible - and we couldn’t be more excited.
From the thrill of that first growing baby bump reveal to following their maternity style journey and the of course, the guessing game of when the baby will be born, we just love seeing our fav celebs mamas-to-be glowing and growing.
From Rihanna, Ayanda Thabete, Natasha Thahane, and more, these are all the celebrity pregnancies we’re gushing over so far.
Natasha Thahane
On Tuesday, the Blood and Water actress revealed she is expecting her first child. In images posted to her Instagram, Natasha is seated elegantly on a bench as she cradles her growing baby bump. She looks radiant in a burgundy satin top and skirt. Details surrounding have been kept under wraps but we’re wishing her all the best on her journey into motherhood.
Ayanda Thabethe
Back in February, model and television star Ayanda Thabethe revealed her pregnancy is a stunning video. The former Top Billing host posted a video to her 1.9 million followers on Instagram wearing a flowy white gown, and walking across sand dunes during a maternity shoot. Ayanda, who is expecting her first child, is reportedly in her second trimester, and recently celebrated an Tiffany & Co-themed baby shower with close friends and loved ones.
Blue Mbombo
On Valentine’s Day, fashion model and TV personality Blue Mbombo revealed she is pregnant in a breathtaking video. She can be seen frolicking on a luxury estate, wearing a white Grecian gown with a baby’s bassinet covered in flowers in the background.
Since then, the reality TV star has served as us multiple aesthetic maternity shoots, with one of them revealing she is expecting a baby girl.
Between all the floral backdrops and couture gowns, Blue knows how to make pregnancy luxurious.
Rihanna
Possibly the biggest pregnancy announcement of the year, miss Bad Gal Riri revealed she is expecting her first child with rapper ASAP Rocky.
The image of Rihanna wearing a that pink Chanel puffer jacket and body jewellery dangling across her belly will probably be ingrained in our minds forever, along with her subsequent maternity style at Paris Fashion Week.
Nomalanga Shozi
South African actress and radio DJ Nomalanga Shozi revealed her pregnancy in the most creative way. Back in February, the BET presenter posted an image of her revealing a pregnant belly on the cover of ’Goodnews’ magazine. Later that month, friends and loved ones threw an epic baby shower for the star, ultimtaly revealing Bandile Mbere from Major League DJz is the father of the baby.
