WARNING: Don’t make these 3 eye makeup mistakes

Ever head to the bathroom during your lunch break at work, only to find that your eye makeup’s been spoilt- even though you just applied it this morning? You might be guilty of making one of the three mistakes listed below. If you’re careful not to make them the next time you get ready, you may be glad to see that your eye makeup’s on point!

1. You’re pulling the skin at the outer corner of your eye.

Pulling your skin at the outer corner of your eye when putting on liquid liner, may seem to make this often challenging task easier, but it probably doesn’t give you the slick look you were after once you release your hand. Avoid moving your eyes or skin in any particular way (except blinking when you need to, of course) and keep a steady hand to control the brush as you glide it along your upper lash line.

2. You’re applying eyeliner to your waterline.

Lining your lower waterline may be a habit that you picked up from your mom, by watching her do her makeup when you were just a kid. However, it’s best that you nip that habit in the bud since it’s highly likely to make your eyes appear smaller and closer together than they really are. As an alternative, glide an eye pencil across your lower lash line to darken the areas in-between your bottom lashes.

3. You’re not using a setting product.

Immediately after blending your foundation and concealer, you may think that that’s all you need to achieve flawless skin. But, it’s important to dust translucent powder over your foundation and concealer so that they stay intact throughout the day. If you don’t pay close attention to your under-eye area, your eye makeup will sadly, not look as ravishing as you intended it to.
