Review: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl has reached a cult-like following since her novel made it onto the silver screen. The story centres around Nick and Amy Dunne – a young couple who relocated from New York to Missouri after losing their jobs during the economic downturn. The book, which is narrated by both characters in turn, opens in the wake of Amy’s disappearance on the couple’s fifth wedding anniversary – which soon leads to a media storm, a sinister scavenger hunt and a whodunit that will keep you up all night.
