Glamour South Africa is excited to announce the launch of the Glamour Book Club. Hosted by Glamour’s Features Editor, Thobeka Phanyeko this Women’s Month. The intimate experience offers book lovers an opportunity to connect and engage in quality conversations over coffee, wine, champagne or whatever fills your cup.
Taking place in the Mother City at the perfectly located Taj Hotel on the 19th August, in partnership with Loot, FNB, and our champagne sponsor, Valdo Prosecco. This is a momentous occasion as it launches during Women’s Month. Guests can look forward to an inspirational line-up of speakers, including Wellness Coach, Melissa Lainn, Founder of Soji skincare products, Sebastine Pepler, and Anthropologist & Author of the Soft Life, Lebohang Masango.
An initiative by Glamour’s Features Editor, Thobeka Phanyeko who is an avid reader with an insatiable hunger for knowledge. “We’d love to create an engaging space for book lovers to promote literacy and a culture of reading. We cannot underestimate the power of words and storytelling specifically in the context of women empowerment. Reading exposes us to different perspectives and equips us with the vocabulary to name our experiences as the world continues to shift and change,” she says.
We’re inviting you to take a seat at the table by being a part of our Glamour Book Club. Being a member not only secures you spot at the exclusive event but you’ll also receive a copy of the book selected for the event, mingle with other avid readers on a regular basis to review and discuss the books, meet your favourite author, and take a self-care goodie bag home. The thoughtfully curated events are hosted at exclusive venues across the country. Valdo Prosseco will keep your glass full in the company of like-minded women.
