These are the most popular beauty products on TikTok (one even has 361 MILLION likes)

Self-taught makeup artist and GLAMOUR cover star, Abby Roberts describes herself as “that makeup girl from TikTok” and after going viral for her impressive makeup transformations, now has over 1 billion likes across her videos. Many small business owners have gone from reaching a few hundred customers, to selling out of their stock overnight due to TikTok, having turned to the platform to sell their products or show off their unique skills.

Influencers like Mikayla Nogueira and Hyram Yarbro have become trusted sources of information thanks to their dead honest beauty reviews, while others have seen their videos take off and accumulate millions of likes out of no-where. Take @ashleypjimenez, for example. Her reaction to trying Maybelline's Sky High Mascara picked up over 3.4 million likes, after the new formula went stratospheric.

The algorithmic nature of TikTok's viral videos is still largely a mystery, but it's brought some incredible products to global attention and influenced the makeup bags of Gen Z around the world.

It’s hardly surprising, therefore, that there are a roster of beauty products that have shot to instant fame thanks to the platform. With millions of viral videos of different makeup tips, skincare journeys and beauty blunders, the products featured within each video have also enjoyed equal exposure.

A humble makeup sponge has become one of the most viewed beauty products on the app. The hashtag #beautyblender has over 361 million views, remaining the most popular way to apply a truly seamless base.

Too Faced's Lip Injection Maximum Plump Lip Plumper has become a cult favourite with #toofacedlipinjection picking up 53.4 million views thanks to its ability to give plump bee-stung lips.

Meanwhile, US skincare brand CeraVe underwent a nationwide shortage of stock after Hyram posted a viral video on his favourite products. Viewers were transfixed by the products’ transformative powers to treat skin conditions such as acne, as well as by the super affordable price point.

A bona fide favourite among the natural and curly girl community, this has been featured countless times thanks to its ability to glide through wet hair.

First Aid Beauty Bump Eraser Body Exfoliant

This fragrance-free formula garnered attention on TikTok for its ability to get rid of Keratosis pilaris, (the stubborn patches of bumpy skin on the backs of arms and legs). It's all thanks to its exfoliating ingredients - glycolic and lactic acids - that help to buff away dead skin and decongest the pores to leave skin amazingly smooth.

Dr Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Colour Correcting Treatment

You can always rely on Dr Jart's K-Beauty formulas to address a number of skin concerns, but TikTok users have been especially impressed with this colour-correcting paste that contains a colour-changing capsule to even out redness and instantly eliminate inflammation. According to Stylight, the products TikTok fame saw a 809% increase in Google searches - impressive.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

Popularised by skincare influencer Hyram, CeraVe started gaining popularity earlier in the year for its targeted but affordable skincare solutions to common skin conditions. Among the favourites are its range of cleansers, that promise to clean and soothe a range of skin types.

Revlon Volcanic Roller

This revolutionary beauty device removes shine and oil from skin as if by magic - much to the amazement of TikTok users worldwide. It's all thanks to the super absorbent volcanic stone rollerball, which can be removed and rinsed for endless uses.

Schwarzkopf got2b Glued Spiking Glue

Schwarzkopf may be known for their super-stay hair styling products, but this gel went viral on TikTok for another use... brows. Instead of a traditional brow gel, users were claiming this water resistant hair gel provided far better, and longer lasting, brow control.

E.l.f. Beauty Shield Recharging Magnetic Mask

As fun as it is functional, this magnetically charged mask was an instant hit among TikTokers not only for its visually impressive application process (which requires an actual magnet to remove), but also for its ability to deeply clean the pores, extracting impurities and delivery a roster of antioxidants and nourishing vitamins to the skin.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

This peeling solution may look alarming when it's on the skin, mainly thanks to its blood-red colour, but when it's removed, skin is bright, clear and radiant - much to the delight of its TikTok fans.

Vaseline Original Petroleum Jelly

Because we love a do-it-all product and vaseline is the queen of multipurpose beauty. We've seen creators use this on their lashes, their hair, to create a cut crease, to heal lips and to nourish cuticles.
