We’re reaching the end of our Glamour Beauty Awards reviewing phase, and before we announce our runner-ups and winners - we decided to sit down with some of our judges to hear more about their experience on being part of the judging panel.
MEET GLAMOUR’S ART DIRECTOR: ANDREA KUHN
GLAMOUR: What did you enjoy most about being a judge for the Beauty Awards?
ANDREA KUHN: I adored discovering and trying out new products and brands especially in the clean beauty category. This experience has been right up my alley.
GLAMOUR: How has this experience and exposure to the beauty industry changed your perception of skincare and makeup?
ANDREA KUHN: I’ve been using green beauty products for many years and it’s so encouraging to see how much this industry has grown as evident by the vast variety of high-quality clean beauty product that has entered the competition including new brands that recently entered the SA market. When I started using green beauty products there weren’t many on the market.
GLAMOUR: Are there any new steps/products that you’ll be incorporating into your skincare routine going into the future?
ANDREA KUHN: I’ll be adding a face mist to my routine between washing and adding a serum to lock in more hydration. A few other products that’ll become staples in my routine will include a gel cleanser, hydrating booster, collagen capsules, and a few masks.
GLAMOUR: What are you looking forward to doing this holiday?
ANDREA KUHN: Everything! Christmas, sleeping and finding fun ways to relax with my family and friends.
GLAMOUR: One item on your Christmas wishlist.
ANDREA KUHN: A She Reads Truth Bible with a poppy linen cover. I would love to add it to my reading collection because of its beautiful minimalistic design and typographic key verses.
