Demi Lovato has been admitted to hospital after an alleged heroin overdosing, according to TMZ.
The website says that the singer, who has openly discussed her battle with drugs, was taken from her home in the Hollywood Hills to a medical facility.
Demi, 25, was last seen in public on Sunday, at the California Mid-State Fair, where she performed her single, Sober, in which she candidly sings about her battles with addiction. The lyrics include: “Mama, I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore / And Daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor” and “To the ones who never left me / We’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.”

The news comes after Demi last month revealed she’d relapsed after being sober for six years.
Over the years, Demi has made no secret of her struggle with eating disorders and addiction – the star has openly discussed checking into rehab in 2010 for drugs, self-harming and bulimia.
She also released Simply Complicated, which premiered on YouTube on Tuesday. The documentary was filmed over the course of seven months and gave fans an honest, emotional look at Demi’s personal life and her journey to sobriety, featuring interviews with Demi, her managers John Taylor and Phil McIntyre and even close friend Nick Jonas.
In the documentary, Demi acknowledges that her recovery is a journey, opening up about her relapses in the past. She admits to still struggling with drug addiction while filming her first documentary, 2012’s Stay Strong, and says she relapsed for the first time in three years with bulimia after breaking up with boyfriend of six years, Wilmer Valderrama, in 2016.
We see Demi discuss not being the ‘perfect’ poster girl for sobriety but also realising that her honesty can inspire and help others.
“The last decade has taught me a lifetime of lessons,” she said. “I’ve learnt that secrets make you sick. I’m learning how to be a voice and not a victim. I’ve learnt sex is natural. I’ve learnt that love is necessary, heartbreak is unavoidable and loneliness is brutal. I’ve learnt that the key to being happy is to tell your truth and be OK without all the answers.”
